It mi* only natural that general regret at last night's meeting; ot the Wnnsnimi Education Board at the fact of the resignation of llio Chief Inspector, Dr. Smyth. -Since his arrival in this'district the doclor has quite altered tkc current of education in the direction of raising the standard considerably, and rendering tlie secondary (•duration within tho reach of suvenih standard pupils of an eminently satisfactory character.
