SIR MAURICE O'RORKE.
Tnc fiequcnt illness of Sir Maunce O'Roikc, Speaker of the House of Eep'lcsentative', points to the fact that the continued strain of pailumenlary life i" al last tellins; on him He has held the lesponsible office for over twenty yeais and continuously, with the exception of a buef inteival when he was defeated for Ins beat by Mr Buckland, and Major Sle-naul was elected Speaker. It~is about tlmty yeais ago since he was first elected a member of the House of Rep--1 escjilatives, so it will be seen that Sir XLmricc has been seiving his adopted country much longer than falls to t£e lot of most men. We trust that his" indisposition is only''temporary' and that ho-will be spared for a number of years to carry out the duties of his trying office. :'.■.■■■••• ' ... .
