1 The'Cduhcil met at 2.30.

' ;■ The Hon- Wi- T." Jennings moved that there be laid on the, tableof the Council a showin S for the past five years —(1)- The number of births registered, and .the number of vaccinations recorded ; (2) how many cases for noncomplianceof the compulsory clauses of the Public Health Act, 1876. and amendments, have been instituted by Registrars during the past five years,'and also how many persons have beon fined for conscientiously refusing to hayc their children vaccinated.

The motion was carried on the casting vote of the Speaker. The thnd reading of the Cemetery Trustees Validation and Appointment Bill was agreed to. The third reading of the School Attendance Bill was made au order of the day for Tuosday next.
