STOCK MARKET.

• The N.Z.L. & M.A. Co. report:— At our Feilding sale on Friday, 7th inst., cattle came forward largely in excess of advertised numbers, and bidding for all classes was brisk, resulting in a total clearance. A fair number of sheep were yarded, mostly good lambs and ewes in lamb. Only one pen of wethers came forward. Lambs advanced in value, a line of over 1000 good shorn lambs from inland realising 8/6, all classes sold fully maintaining recent values. Following are the prices :— Cattle: 4-year bullocks, 5/1,0/-; 3-year bullocks, 4/15/-; 3-year steers, 3/7/-, a line of 124 3/12/6; fat and forward cows, 8/17/6 cows in calf, 4/4/6 and 6/5/-; store cows, 3/10/-; springing heifers, 3/12/-, 3/12/6, 3/17/-, 4/5/-, 4/7/6, 5/-/-; weaners, 9/-and 14/-. Sheep : Ewes in lamb, 7/-, 7/11, 8/-, 9/-, 10/7, 11/8; fat and forward ew^s, 9/7, 12/-; empty ewes, 8/10; lambs, 6/-, 8/-, 8/6.

Mr R. E. Beckett reports :—I held'a very successful sale at Hunterville on Thursday. Both sheep and cattle came forward in large numbers and met a good market. The cattle were of particularly good quality and sold at full values. Lambs were keenly competed for. I quote:—Weaners 25s to 345, well-bred do. 475, 18-month to 2-year steers £3 3s to £3 3s 6d, 2£ to 3-year do. £4 17s 6d, forward bullocks £6, cows in calf £3 to £3 Us, fat cows £4 10s to £5 10s 6d. Lambs 5s 3d to 8s 6d, 2-tooth wethers 11s to 12s, 4-tooth do. 11s 6d to 12s 6d, fat ewes 9s 6a to 10s 6a, ewes in lamb 5s 6d to 9s 4d. '
