Marion, June 11. Of the branches of the Farmers' Union, formed throughout the Rangitikei and Manawatu districts, both sides of politics are joining freely, recognising that the protective duties and decrease of revenue will necessitate extra taxation on producers and handicap .them by raising the cost of liviug. Delegates from the branches meet in conference at Palmeraton North at the end of July to arrange' a platform in the interests of producers without regard to political parties.
