Auckland Club Destroyed.
(Per Press Association.) Auckland, May 19. The Auckland Club in Shortlandstreet -was destroyed by fire last night. The billiard tables were saved and the wine stocks were not damaged. The lower part of the building will probably not require to be rebuilt. Insurances— ' Building, total, £4630; New Zealand £1315, South British f 2315, Sun £1000.
Contents—New Zealand £350, Sun £1100. Wine stocks—New Zealand £600, Sun £400.
