FOOTBALL.
At a meeting of the Institute Wednesday Football Club, the following officers were elected:—Patron: Mr F. Pirani, M.H.E.; President: Mr J. H. Hanldns; 'Vice-Presidents: Messrs L. A. Abraham, Montague, Park, Russell, Dernpsy, and Bunting; Captain: W. Hchlerike ; Vico-Captain :0. A. Flyger; Secretary and Treasurer: Fred. Pirani, jnr.; Selection Committee: W. Schlerike, 0. A. Flyger, Fred. Pirani jnr., G. Miller, ,1. Roos. Members' subscriptions were fixed at Is 6d. The colours decided on were green and white. All members are requested to attend running at J. R. Colquitt's stables on Friday night to get in form to play a match with the Kia Ora Club on Queen's Birthday. The Institute Senior Football Club, who won last year's Junior Championship, was presented with a ball by Mr I. J. Fake, Vice-President of the Club. The Alhambra and Youths' Institute Football Clubs held a splendid practice yesterday afternoon on the flat, a large number of players putting in an appearance. All footballers who wish to take part in the match against the Levin Club, to be played here next Thursday (Queen's Birthday), are requested to communicate with Mr W. Robinson before Saturday, as the team will be picked from those who have expressed then* willingness to Play. ________
