THE BOER DELEGATES.
Received May 17, at 9.25 a.m. New York, May 16. The correspondent of The Times states the Boer delegates were playthings for American politicians. DESTRUCTIVE FOREIGN ATTACHES. (Received May 17, at 8.40 a.m.) London, May 16. The Standard's correspondent at Kroonstad asserts that most of the foreign attaches, among whom Russians were conspicuous, directed operations in j burning stores and food, the contents of the captured Doornspruit convoy. THE RETREAT OF THE JBOER FORCES. The retreat of the Boar forces is described as a sullen, demoralised rabble. DISLOYAL CAPE DUTCH. Lists have been found containing the names of thirty thousand Cape Dutch, who pledged themselves to rise and sup-' port the Boers. In view of such numerous promises of support it is easy to understand the disillusionisation of the Boers. KRUGER UP IN ARMS. It is affirmed at Lisbon that President Kruger ordered the Portugese Con.sul to quit Pretoria. LANDING OF COLONIAL TROOPS AT BEIRA. 3500 colonial troops have landed at Beira. THE GYME.RIC LOSES 22 HORSES. The Gymerlc lost 22 horses on the voyage. . BULLERAT GLENCOE. General Bailer has occupied Gleneoe. The Boers left tliere early on Tuesday morning, entraining eleven guns. ■•■ STILL THEY RUN. The Transvaalers have evacuated Biggarsberg. j THE FLIGHT OF THE BOERS j FROM DUNDEE. I Four thousand Boers, with 18 guvs, fled northward from Dundee on Monday night. A CLEVER MAN(EUVRE. Generals French and Hutton tactically and cleverly turned 3000 Boers from the Zand River, including the Afrikander Horse, a new force, each man having two horses.
