Auckland February 17. A child named Donald Nesbith, ag d 4, who was bathing alone, was found floating insensible by some boys in Freeman's Bay. He was rescued, and, after some time, resuscitated.
Invercargill, February 17. The Bank of New Zealand at Fortrose was entered and robbed of i? 500 in notes last night. The room of the bank agent in a local hotel was entered, and the keys of the s-rong room and safe taken from his pocket whilst he was asleep. The police expect to effect an early arrest.
Fielding. February 19. Steps are being taken to form a mounted infantry corps at Feuding.
