A Mr Frederick C. Noruaan wishes us to explain that he is not the " peripatetic photographer" referred to m a paragraph m our last issue. We never said be was. He also affirms that neither he 'nor his partner ever " insist that an order was given" ; or that *' when a call is made care is taken that the head of the house is ahsent." We are very glad to hear that Mr Frederick C. Norman does not conduct his business m the disreputable manner m which this other (( peripatetic photographer" does, and we are sure he never will. It would, seem there must be several "peripatetic photographers" m the district just now. TheHawkes Bay Herald says that the presence of one of the jockeys at the Kaikora race meeting was due to v bit of smart travelling. On Thursday morning Mr A. Woods was m Taranaki. He went from there by train to Wanganui, and thenco to Palmerston, which was reached at ou Thursday night.
