The divorce case, Hairy Dorreen T. . Elizabeth Doreen, respondent) and Charles Diamante, jun., co-respondent, the parties being Wakaraarina people, occupisd the Court for a long time today. The petitioner prays for a divorc* on the ground of adultery. Having himself caught respondent and co-res-pondent together, ht gave Diamante a thrashing with a life-preserver, and turned his wife out of doors. Three children are issue of the marriage, the eldest being 8 years old. Tiie r««poudent denied the charge, and called evidence to show that the petitioner himself had been guilty of adultery with several women. She also gave evidence, as to neglect and ill-treatment on the part of the petitioner. The co-respon-dent denied the charge against him. The evidence was very contradictory, and Mr Justice Richmond reserved, judgment.
