Proposed Pacific Cable.
(ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. — COPYRIGHT.) (special to united press association.) LoNDOir, May 6. It is understood that England will grant a subsidy of 4 per cent, on the cost of a cable across the Pacific, from Vancouver's Island. It is certain that the following places will be included m the route of the cable, namely :— New Caledonia and Honolulu. Messages will bo forwarded via Canada.
