RAILWAY FREIGHT ON PRODUCE.
With reference to a letter from " Settler," appearing m our issue of today, we have thought it to the interest of farmers and others having produce to dispose, of to procare from the stationmaster the correct charges from the different stations to Foxton. These are for %vheat, oats, barley, potatoes, flour, bran, anrt poilard, two tons and upwards : — Taonui, 7s per ton ; Bunnythorpe, 6s 8d per ton ; Terrace End, 5s lOd per ton ; Pahnerston, 5s 8d per ton ; Longburn, 5s per ton ; Longburn Junction, 5s per ton ; Karere, 4s lOd per ton ; Tiakitahnna, 4s Cd per toa ; Oroua Bridge, 4s. 3d. In addition to these the following the following are the charges for ship-ment-.—Wharfage, per ton, Is 6d; receiving and delivering, Is.
