The names of the following steamers lost m New' Zealand commenced with that letter :— Tiatania s.s. lost at Southland. .> Thane a.s., lost atGreymouth. Tauranga s.s., foundered at Bay of Plenty. /' r . >- Taiaroa s.s., lost on Molynaanx bar Built at Port Chalmers. Taranaki s.s , first lost m Tory Channel, m 16 fathoms, and lifted. Taranaki s.s., last lost m Bar of Plenty. Tasnianiau Maid s.s. lost at Taranaki. Tararua s.s., lost at Tois Tois. Triumph s.s., lost at Tiri Tiri. Got off again. Taupu s.s., lost at Tauranga. Previous to her loss she struck a reef off Tolf * Bay. : . Taiaroa s.s., lost lately at Claranc* river. Tui s.s., wrecked, but got off at Barrett's reef.
