[Last night's Herald.] For some inexplicable reasrn tbe agents ot the Press Afsoci tton on thu coast appear to carry out iheir duties m a very neg'igent manner, eoaie'.imes delaying to 'send inportaat telegrams for a day or two, and at others not wiring anything at all. We haye especially *o complain of the person who acts for ihe association at Palmerston, who by the rules laid down, should have, at the very latest, sent us he acceptances for the Manawatu races; which closed on Saturday, whereas they were kept back till ltist evening to be forwarded to our morning contemporary.
