Salvation Army Cases.— Prepsnre on our space compels us to conr) nse into small compass our report of the proceedings at the R.M. Court yesterday. The Bench was occupied by Messrs 3. J. Turnbu'l sod Henry , Dodson, J.P.V. William Eyles was charged with disturb** ing the congregation at the Salvation Army Birracks, and with assaulting Robert M'C.Hums on Sunday last. Mr M‘Nab appeared for William and Florence Eyles. An information was also laid against Peter Anderson for assaulting Miss Florence Eyles at the-‘same time and place. From the evidence* it appeared that Eylea was suspected by the members of the Army of taking wattle berries to the meeting, and after the afternoon meeting it was decided that Eylea should not be allowed to attend in the evening. He insisted cn going ip, although told by the doorkeeper riot toMoCallnm and Bubb took Eyles round the neck, when he refused to go but, and they pushed him towards tl|e door, McCallum and Eyles fell k and Eylea Btruck McCallum in the face, causing it to bleed. Up to the time, be wm spoken to, Eyles was quite* quiet, Florence Eyles deposed that : when McCallum and Bubb wero pushing her brother out she went up to MoCaUutn and asked him to let her brother’.go qnitely. Henderson then caught )iold .of h .r and said. “ what are you against a man ” he then threw her against jib'me forms, and when she was dow;n he kicked her in the side.
