It is most powerful in allay ing fever ; and, when applied to the whole body, will carry off the poison circulating in the system. It is thus a valuable Disinfectant for those who visit the sick in the Hospitals or poor localities. Do parents, medical men and educators of youth pay sufficient attention to this subject? Do they ever ascertain the cause of this decay ; and hnving done so, do thev (as a strict sense of duty demands) seek the skilled advice of ■ the medical man, who has made this branch of his profession his particular speciality, whose life has been devoted to the treatment of these cases ?
