The ‘ Lyttleton Times ’ of the 27th inst, reports : The grain market was quiet but firm on Saturday. Wheat, which is in better condition, is quoted at 6s. 6d. to 7s. ; best Hour, wholesale. £22 ton ; retail, 245. 6d. IK 100 lbs. ; barley, 4s. Gd. to ss. ; oats, 2s. 9d. to 3s. 3d. : potatoes £4 to £4 10s. 'll’’ ton ; hay, £3 10s. to £4 ; straw £2 ton delivered.
