LAUDER A>'D BECKS. The Becks and Lauder carnival was held on the lltb inst. Mr Robert Scott, M.P., opened the proceedings, and Mr S. T. Spain, chairman of the Vincent County Council, also addressed tha large gathering. A medal was prasented to Mrs Little (a retired nurEe) from the local committee, as s mark of their adtufration of her war services. Mis Little, better known as Nurse Smith, a daughter of the late. Rev. M'CoshSmith, entered on war service early in the war, arid was on board the Marquette, which was torpedoed in the Mediterranean. The carnival proved a great success, and as a result the Copper Trail will benefit to the extent of £SOO.
