' The Military Service Board sat at Ranfurly on Monday, 21st inst. -' An application for a rehearing of his case by John Ross Peterson (Kukonga) was dismissed,.and an application for extension of leave by Ctiarles Leo. Dougherty waß refused. The appeals of John Moles and James Edgar were withdrawn, while those of George Philip and James H. Dpwle classed B and C in the Second Division respectively, were allowed. George Pearce was .given . time till the April CI draft goes into camp. The appeal of Cyril Schrick was adjourned sine die. The appeal of A. E. Brown was supported by Mr Fraeer. it was based on the ground of undue hardship and. financial obligations. Mr Frbser pre sented a statement of appellant's financial affairs, which also stated he had dependents who were interested in the business. Secondly that he supplied a large district from Upper "Kyeburn to Wedderburn with groceries and was the only storekeeper doing so, and was the only business man in the district who. stocked a large assortment of drapery.
