PATEAROA CRICKET CLUB.
(Prom Our Own Correspondent.) The annual meeting was held on the~ 12th 'inst.; < S. C. Greer (chairman), J. Crerar, J. Wilson, W. Chirnside, Carr, R. Carr, A. Macalpine, R. M'Skimming, sen., C. Schrick, A. Millar. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of over £5, and that after an expenditure of nearly £25 last season. The chairman congratulated the club on its sound financial state, and also on winning the championship.,
a A hearty vote of thanks was carried to .a number of gentlemen who subscribed handsomely to the club's funds, that fine" SDort, Mr J. Brown, of Kyeburn (who sent a cheque for 30s), being specially mentioned. A motion of deep regret at the death of Mr A. G. Mathias, who had been a vice-president and generous supporter of the club for many years, was carried unanimously. . Office-bearers:—President, Mr E. F. Blakely; vice-presidents, Messrs S. C. Greer, Jt Crerar, R.M'Skimming, W. Hall, jun., J. Brown (Kyeburn), J. Cogan, sen., J. Blakeley, T. Duck, Pearce, sen., D. 0. Stewarr, John Coram, W. Dowle 1 (all re-elected), W. E.Beattie, O. R. Cambridge, J. P. Little, D. M'Laren, and G. Howell; secretary, Mr J. Crerar (re-elected); treasurer, Mr J. Wilson (re-elected); captain, Mr Wilson (re-elected); de-puty-captain, Mr E. Carr; match committee, Messrs Crerar, Wilson, and W. Chirnside; delegates to M.C.A,, Messrs Crerar and Wilson; auditor, Mr Crerar. Messrs Wilson, R. M'Skimming, sen., R. M'Skimming, .jun., W. Chirnside, R. M. Taylor, E. Carr, F. Mathias, A. Macalpine, R. Carr, Crerar, and Millar were appointed a committer to arrange for a concert and to discuss improvements to" the grounds.
The opening day was fixed for Saturday, 19th inst., when a scratch match will be played. last Season's Averages. Batting.
