METEOROLOGICAL.

The rainfall as recorded at Eweburn Nursery, Ranfurly, - for the month of April was 1.63.n on-12. days, the maximum fall being .35in on the 22nd The highest reading of the themometer— in the shade was 76deg on the 6th, and the lowest 30deg. on the night of the 19th. Frost occurred on two nights. At Naseby the rainfall was 2.32 in which fe'l on 14 days The maximum fall was .73in. on the 22nd. ' The rainfall at Kokonga for the month of April was 1 91in.- Rain fell on 15 days, the maximum fall being .48in on the 22nd. MANIOTOTO FANCIERS' CLLB. The annual meeting of the Maniototo Fanciers,' Club was held in the Town Hall anteroom on Wednesday, 3rd insf. There was a fair attendance. Mr T. B. The society had approved of Mr P. Carolin as judge of Wyandottes and Mr E. 0 Reilly as judge of all other classes of poultry. Coops. There'was some correspondence relative to coops, which will probably be hired from Dunedin. The Secretary. It was decided that Mr Eardley'be paid the sum of £2 10s for the services he had already rendered this' year, and Messrs Ryan (president) and Hilton and McNeil-were appointed a committee to arrange for the services of another secretary.
