St Bathans programmes for thei annual meeting to be held on the 27 th Decembei are now distributed. Altogether they give away £SB in prize money. The principal events are the St. Bathans Handicap of £lO and the Two Mile Trot of £l2.

The three Ranfurly horses, Ben Joseph, Joe Jun. and Jim, are now in steady work in view of the abbve fixture.

I hear that Smallshot and Reef Points will also make their appearance at St. Bathans. 1

The filly Thistledown, lately purchased by Mr Smith from Sir Geo. Clifford, arrives at Ranfurly to-day.

Pretty Face leaves to-morrow for Arrowtown. , She is nominated for three races, one the first day and two the second. Shs carries Bst 51b for the mile the first day, the other weights are not out till the day of the races.

The Kelburn —Equinox filly having gone sore, will I believe, be turned out, but it is to be hoped wili soon recover and get into work for the Naseby races.

Ovying to Kostroma not running too well at Lawrence, he will not be present at the Arrow meeting, but Mr Cain hupes to have him ready for Alexandra,
