'.,[:'.'\ ANEW CLUB. '.,.' /...A'very enthusiatic meeting of curlers interested in forming a new curling club in Naseby took place-in the Fire 'Brigade Station on Wednesday, the 26th inst. There was a fair attendance : including several members of. the Mt; Ida Club, who attended to give the new club a helping hand. The new club' was named the Maniototo Curling Club Mr and Mrs Geddes were elected patron and patroness, Mr ' E Brownpresident, Mr R. L. Francis vice-presi-dent, Mr C. Dixon secretary, Mr L. Francis treasurer, Mr S. Reed auditor ; Rev. Mr Standage chaplain. It is the intention of the club to restrict their membership to 14.playing members. Several members of-the local clubs have informe'd the secretary that they wish to become honorary members. \ A sub-committee was appointed to draw up rules, to be approved : The colours of the club are maroon and gold.
