REDUCTION IN POSTAL CHARGES.

From the 16th inst the postage on inland post cards will be each. From Ist January, 1908, the following reduced rates will come into force : For inland letters Id for the first 4oz and |d for each additional 2oz. Magazines will be charged at the rate of Id for each l6oz or fraction thereof. Registration fee will be reduced to 2d. Money Orders, Commencing with the New Year the commission chargeable on money orders issued for payment within New Zea land is reduced to 3d for each £5 or fraction of £o, and on money orders payable in the United Kingdom, United States, &c , the commission will be reduced to 3d for each £1 or frac tion of £l. Postal Notes. From the same date a reduction is also made in the commission chargeable on postal notes, the following being the , new scale :—On Is, Is 6d, 2s and 2s 6d —|d;3sand ss Id ; 10s, 15s. and 20s—2d.
