The weather was glorious, and the play was very good under the circumstances. Captain Wilson's side won by 12 runs after, a most enjoyable game. Between ;the innings a most refreshing ,cup of tea and' toothsome concomitants were provided by a charming bevy of the young ladies of Patearoa. There was only time for one innings each, and although the opinion of the players on. Saturday was favourable to the double, -innings for each side, to-day (Monday)" finds no one regretting the shorter gamd. -Scores : Captain Wilson's sidr. . J.-Witispii. J) W.
