WEDDERBURN
(BV A CoRREBrONDKCT). Re the correction of my last notes by Mr John M'Kay in your Usue of September 29th. ' Well, I may state that I have Mr Messent's word for it that he is about to give up the post office ; and as for a petitionrrof 70 names to keep it where it is, I I could get a counter ■petition with ni'ore any day to have it at the railway; station. All over the country-there is a general cry to have thq post officer ai the railway station and nob a mile" away from it, and .undoubtedly it will be there in time. You -would -fancy there were only people on the west side of Wedderburn. What are all the people on the past'side -to do ? . /«?<? school matters. Mr M'Kay did not meet Miss Eagan on tho Gth as 1 stated but ; oir the 7th, and the conversation I mentioned passed between them.-- At the concert on the 25th, the chairman (Mr P. S. Rend) did make-the complimentary remarks T referred to, The mistakes I made wers-in regard to dates and not to facts, ns Mr M'Kay would have it. As ;to the. question of the legality of the.electron! of-the school committee, perhaps Mr M'Kay's pretended contempt is tho beat ttscapo from a ques tion „ \yhvch_ he Y claes not wish to answer..; . . .-.., ,'• ... ...
