RULES AND REGULATIONS. No horse entered far any Handicap (except the Handicap Hack Race and Novel) will be allowed to run in any Hack Eace at this .nceting. The race will start at noon sharp each lay. No entries will be received for any of the above races except upon the condition thai r all disputes, claims, and objections arising >ut of the racing shall be decided by the : Stewards, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision on all points to be final. The winner of any race of the value of £2O after the appearance of the weights for th« Jockey Club and Welter Handicaps to carry 71b penalty; the winner of two or more *uch races to carry lOlbs. Nominators for the Trots tnußt specify I'revioue Performances. Trotting horses to carry not less than list; ponies under 14 hands one inch to carry not less than lOst. Names, ages, and pedigrees (if any) of horses entered, with colours to be worn by tbe"riders, to bo forwarded to the Secretary with each and every nomination, or the full fine will be enforced. Five per cent, will be deducted from all Horses walking over to receive 50 percent, of the stakes. Anv person entering a protest must deposit £2 and should the Stewards deem such protest frivolous the deposit will be forfeited. No eutries or acceptances will be received on any pretence whatsoever after the day and hour specified in each case. Exchange to be added on all cheques. The rules of the Metropolitan Club of the district will be"strictly adhered to both as regards the racing and working of the totalisator. , ~ The- trotting .races will be run under the rules of the Dunedin Jockey Club.
