In the House of representatives. Captain Russell having given notice of his motion to rescind the tariff resolution, the Premier would only regard it as a " no-confidence.'! motion, and asked for an adjournment till 7-30. On resuming in the evening, the Treasurer moved the House into a Committee of Ways-and-means, but Russell declined to move his resolution till the Tariff Bill came down. The Tariff resolution was then altered to make flannellette free, and this being carried, th» Financial Debate was resumed but not concluded.
