MOUNT IDA CURLING, CLUB. A verv handsome gold pendant was presented by Mr J. Lundon for.competition between r,he two representativerinks of the club Messrs Hosie's and Browne's for which a time game of two aucla-half hours was played last week, resulting as under :'— Provan Sim Green Malcolm Murray Wilson - Browne Calder White (skip) 16 Hosie (skip) \\ The final play (a'two hoars' game ; sealed handicaps) for the ownership of the trophy, resulted as under : Handicap. Browne ecr (absent) o White 1 19 20 Green 4 13 17 Murray 6 6 12 Provan 4 J . 4 8 Mr Silas Hore presented a set of carvers for rink competition, for which five rinks competed with the following, results : First Rouxd.—White, li;. Sim, 11; Hosie, 13; Provan, 12; Calder. a hve, Second Bound.—Calder, 21; White, 20. Fisai. Hutt Hendricksen Arrow Malcolm:;, Church Gretn' Hosie (skip) 9. Cal :er (skip) 21 The final play (two hrmrs' -game : sealed handicaps! for tin* ownership of the carvers resulted as under : Handicap. Score.- Total. Calder scr 10 ■'". ]0 Green scr 12 ~ 12 Malcolm S • ■'■'.■ 7 ' , 10 Hendricksen 6 -. ,8 - 13 Green and Hendricksen tied at 12 when time was called. In the final head Hendricksen scored .1, thus winning the trophy. This was a particularly well-played game, each player excelling all his previous * performances.
OTAGO CENTRAL CURLING CLUB. Messrs Nelson, Moate,- and. Go.'s trophy, a box of tea, having been won by the married men (of whom there are three rinks), as reported in our last issue, it was decided to play off for it, with the following results : SECOKD ROUND.
