MrJohn Morley was also present, besides many other members cf the House of Commons. Lord Salisbury has refused to permit Arabi Pasha, now in exile in Ceylon, to return to Egvpt. Professor Hanken, ot Cambridge* has made successful experiments for the cure of anthrax in sheep with an injection extracted from spleen of rats ' mixed with 50 per cent, of glycerine. It is considered certain that the Victorian loan must be postponed. Mr. Justin M'Carthy promises to make known the terms of settlement with Mr. Parnell on February 12.
