(Br Electric Telegraph.) (BYOUR SPECIALCORRESPONDENT.) Donedis, July 3. It is officially announced that J. L. Toole, and his Euglish company will open at Dunedin about Septempber 29. Kyrleßellewand Mrs. Brown-Potter will also visit Mew Zealand, and they, too, will open at Duuediu about the Christmas season. A case of, interest came before the Invercargill Land Board. A revalued deferredpaynent section was applied for, but the previous holder, who had forfeited, asked th« Board to reconsider their decision to forfeit with a view to giving him the land if possible. He tated he took up the land at 10s. per acre, improved it, and paid instalments totalling 325., when, heiog unable to continue payment, the Board declared the section forfeited. Immediately afterwards revaluation under the Act of last session was legalised, and valuers assessed the land ab 30s. per acre or 2s less than the first settler had paid in instalments. Two employees of the National Bank of Wellington entered the strong room of the Lank last night aud struck a match, wheu an explosion of gas occurred. Both men were knocked down, but hurt very little. The heavy double outer doors of the bank sixty feet away were blowu out in fragments on to the pavement. Very little damage, however, was done.
