A correspondent favors us with the following : —A very enjojable entertainment in the form of a bachelors' ball was held on the 18th of last month in a. hall attached to Mr. Maisey's hotel, and though the night was rather cold, a sharp frost setting in before morning, yet it only favored those of the light fantastic toe, for give me a frosty night Above all-others for dancing. Several good songs were rendered during, the evening. Mr; J. M'Lellan gave "The Anchor's Weighed," and was followed by Mr. Ireland, who sang " The Ship that never Returned," and in response to an encore gava " Rose of Tralee." Mr. W. Pelaney gave a splendid reudering of " Erin's Gieen Shore," and also of "Forgive and Forget." Mr. H. Bruhns was very happy in " I'm a Man you don't "Meet every Day," but the ge:n of the evening was " Logie o' Buchan," sung by Mr. D. M'Kenzie. Receiving an encore, he favored those present with "The Rose, Shamrock and Thistle." Miss A. Harris sang very prettily " When You and I were young" and "Belle Mahone." Mr. A. Hammond was in good voice and sang " Soldier Boy of Richmond." Dancing was kept up till six o'clock, refreshments being handed round at intervals. Mr. Ireland acted as Chairman, and Mr. Bluuchard supplied excellent music.
