BUSHMAN KILLED.
Dunedin, Last Night,
Vincent Spence was killed while logging in the bush at Glenomaru in the Gatlins on Tuesday. He was employed by Cunningham Bros., and had fixed a hauling,rope to a log when the engine stopped suddenly. The jerk caused the wire to snap and it swung back striking Spence violently. One leg was completely severed and the other partly, and the injured man was thrown a distance of 30 yards, his neck being broken. Deceased was a married man with a family of two.
