EATING FOR SIX YEARS.
The average person who lives to be 70. spends 23 years of his life asleep. That is the estimate of a scientific committee set up at Nice to inquire how people occupy their lives. [Apart from sleep the committee's report states that the average person talks for 13 years, eats for six years, spends 23 years in pleasure and washes for eighteen months.
