A DRAWN GAME.
Brilliant batting by J. L. Ken*, of Canterbury, and H. G. Vivian, of Auckland, who put on 190 together after two wickets had fallen for 39, enabled I. B. Cromb to declare New Zealand’s second innings against the English team at Wellington yesterday closed at 229 for three wickets with the object of forcing a win. Requiring 3i6 to win in two hours and a half, the tourists lost four for 33 before tea, but played out time, losing seven for 130, and the game was drawn.
