ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH.

PRESENTATION .'TO MSS NANCY ROBINSON. There was a large attendance of members of All Saints’ Church in the schoolroom on Tuesday on the occasion of a social evening in honour of Miss Nancy Robinson who is resigning from her position of church organist after several years of faithful service. Dancing, cards, games and competitions left few idle moments to those present. Dance music was supplied by Mrs M. A. Ross and Mr F. Caple, and Mr F. Woods proved to be a most efficient M.tC. Vocal items rendered by Mesdames W. M. Thomas and H. 'A. Hannay, were greatly appreciated, the accompaniment for these two items being played by Mr H. A. Hannay. An elocutionary item by Mr Wl Nye, jnr., also met with great applause.

After a bounteous supper, provided and served by the Guild and Choir members, several speakers took the opportunity of referring to the main object of the gathering. Mr H. A. Hannay spoke on behalf of the choir; Mr R. J. Marston on behalf of the parishioners, and Mr F. Woods for the Vestry. All made reference, to Miss Robinson’s loyal service over a period of years, Mr Hannay making special mention of Miss Robinson’s willingness to cooperate on every occasion. Mr. Hannay then called on Miss Robinson to 'accept from the choir members, a handsome silver vase, suitably engraved. Rev. H. S. Kenney made eulogistic reference to the excellent work and loyal service rendered by Miss Robinson. He said she could always be depended on whatever happened and her willingness to co-operate had smoothed over many difficulties. She would be greatly missed by everyone connectel with the church. Rev. Kenney then presented Miss Robinson, on behalf of the church members, with a gold watch. . Mr M. B. Bergin suitably responded on behalf of Miss Robinson, saying how much she appreciated the complimentary remarks of the speakers and how she would always treasure the gifts ivith which, she had been presented. Musical honours were then accorded the guest of the evening. Dancing Avas then Continued.
