'Jeffrey Farnol Among leaders in every walk of life —statesmen, churchmen, lawyers, doctors, leaders of industry, authors—it is practically impossible to find a single supporter of prohibition. A few who may have been favourably disposed towards the idea at one time have revised their opinion. It is hard to believe, therefore, that any person with ordinary common sense, and free from unreasonable prejudice, can set his own judgment above that of men and women who have more than ordinary knowledge of social and economic problems. It is confidently anticipated, therefore, that New Zealanders will reveal to the world at the forthcoming licensing referendum a solid common sense vote for Continuance. 8
