FOXTON GIRL GUIDE AND BROWNIE ASSOCIATION
(COMMITTEE MEETING,
On Friday afternoon the members of the Foxton Girl Guides and Brownie Association met together for the final committee meeting of the year. There were present Mesdames S. Austin (President), in the chair, F. A. Mason, R. Robinson, W. Thomas, D. R. Barron, Misses W. Mairs (secretary), Margaret Barron (Brown Owl), Betty Hunt (Tawny Owl) and Joan Cowley (pack leader). Mrs S. Austin generously offered to hold) a garden party at her residence next Tuesday in aid of the Brownie funds. It was decided to hold a Brownie Church Parade on Sunday morning December 2nd, at the Anglican Church. At the conclusion of the business routine Mrs Austin called on Miss M. Barron, who, in a short time, is going to Melbourne to attend a Girl Guide Jamboree, to accept a pair of Girl Guide leather gajintlet gloves. Miss Barron was then entertained to a delightful afternoon tea by the committee members. Miss Barron, in returning thanks to the committee members for the pleasant surprise they had given her, desired to. specially thank them for the splendid work they had done throughout the year in connection with the Brownie Association.
