HANDICAP WINNERS ANNOUNCED.

The official placings in the Centenary handicap air race were announced to-day, Scott and Black securing first place, Parmentier and Moll second, and Melrose third. As , Scott won the speed race he was ineligible for the handicap prize, this being won by Parmentier, with Melrose second. The net flying times of all the • handicap competitor’s are as follows :■ — IScott . 64hrs 48min. Parmentier .... 76hrs 38min. Melrose 79hrs 17min. The Stodarts .. 79hrs 32min. McGregor 82hrs 43min. Hewett 85hrs 42min. Hansen 87hrs 45min. As Parmentier accepted the first handicap prize, the second speed prize goes to Turner and the third to Waller. 'Sir Charles Kingsford Smith and Mr P. G. Taylor reached Oakland, U.S.A., at 7.44 a.m. yesterday on their flight from! Honolulu. They created a new record for the trip. The aviators received a rousing reception at both Oakland and Los Angeles, whither they went later.
