“Where would we be without the Press ” asked Mr G. Benstead, at a meeting of the Timaru Borough Councl, when a matter affecting the Timaru newspapers was under discussion. Later Mr W, H. Hall replied to Mr Benstead’s question thus: “Mr Benstead asked where we would be without the Press. If they were not here, we would get home earlier.”
