BROWNIE PARTY.
A very enjoyable children’s party, organised by the members of the Brownie committee was held in the Anglican schoolroom on Friday, October 19th. There was a good attendance of children and the proceeds from the party are to be used for purchasing uniforms for the brownies. A delicious tea was provided for the children and after tea games were indulged in. The evening took the form of a concert, the following items being rendered: —Recitations : W. Murray, R. Crowe, J. Hamer, L. Evans, D. Howe, J. Clark, J. Fryer, J. Howe, A. King, B. Fryer, R. Fraser. I. Titcombe, M. Robinson, R. Wishinowsky. Duets: M. Wyllie and J. Alexander, A. King and M. Podmore, B. Barron and G. Fraser, I. Parfitt and B. Young, J. Thomas and D. Young. Pianoforte solo: E. Hunt.
