FINE MYSTERY DRAMA IN . NATURAL COLOURS.

Glenda Fan-ell has created a new role for the screen in “The Mystery of the Wax Museum,” a Warner Bros, mystery thriller at the Town Hall to-night. It is a sort of female counterpart to the sophisticated, hard-boiled, wise-cracking reporter of “The Front Page.” As the girl reporter who trails the mysterious and terrifying monster to his lair in “The Mystery of the Wax Museum,” she outdoes the male reporters as a cast iron, copper-rivetted mistress of tough character roles. For armour plated hardness and flippancy she surpasses even her previous characterisations. Even when romance comes to her at las! with the proposal of marriage from the managing editor with whom she battles throughout the picture, she still retains her saucy, hard-boiled mannerisms.
