TWO GIRLS LOST IN RANGES.
LOCATED AFTER. TWO DAYS
Two girls, Alisses. Olive Phillips and Haliie Stanfield, of Te Rehunga got lost in the Ruahine Ranges on Monday when attempting to tramp across the ranges to Pohangina. A search' party, however, had little difficulty in picking up their tracks and they were located yesterday afternoon and returned to their homes. Apart from torn clothes, feet wrapped in sacking and their begrimed appearance the girls showed little sign of their unenviable experience. They were rescued by Alessrs S. and W. Stanfield and J. and A. Coldstream who set out early on Tuesday morning. The girls light shoes had been torn to
shreds and the men improvised foot coverings of sack. They were about exhausted and hopelessly lost when found.
