Nichols (Oroua Doavus), cheese and eggs; Mrs Dench (Oroua Downs), eggs and butter; Mrs Conlan (Oroua Doavus eggs; Mrs John Robinson, eggs and syrup; Airs Chas. Robinson, creamota; Mrs C. H. Symons, pillow cases; Mrs W. E. Barber, sheets; Mrs E. Murphy, vegetables, jam; Rev. H. Kenney, oatmeal; Mrs Alabin (Tokomaru), flour; Mrs Small flour; Mrs D. Christie, oatmeal and vegetables.
At a happy little function held at the Home, Miss Marion Bain, the daughter of the matron, and a member of the staff, who is shortly to be married, was made the recipient of a presentation. Offering congratulations on behalf of the committee, Mrs L. A. Abraham asked Miss Bain’s acceptance of a handsome china bowl, and expressed appreciation of her services for the children. The Mayor (Mr A. E. Mansford) added his felicitations on behalf of the board. Speaking for 'Canon G. Y. Woodward, Who was unable to be present, Mrs Woodward also added her good wishes. Both Miss Bain and her mother returned thanks, and afternoon tea was served.
