AMATEUR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS.
The young Wanganui player, B. AL Silk, made himself the premier amateur golfer of the Dominion for 1934 by defeating the 24-year-old Talhape representative, J. P. Mortland, in the final of the New Zealand amateur championship over 36 holes on the Belmont links at Wanganui on Saturday, by 5 up' and 4 to play.
