CHILD DROWNED IN WELL.
After a frantic search over a wide area for a missing four year old child by the mother and neighbours the child’s body was recovered from an open well in the garden of the parents’ residence at Clendon Avenue, Papatoetoe, on Tuesday evening’. The child was the son of Air and Airs A. Gullan, and death had been caused by drowning. The well had only recently been dug and the child must have been playing around it and fallen in.
