PRESBYTERIAN LADIES SOCIAL GUILD.
The monthly meeting of the Presbyterian Ladies Guild Avas held on Tuesday afternoon at the residence of Mrs A. Stevenson, Pads Street. There Avas a good attendance of members and after minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed, a very pleasant time was spent in social eliat and competitions. The first competition avus won by Mrs G. Walls. A delicious afternoon tea was dispensed by the hostess, Mrs Stevenson, and her daughters. The second competition Avas also very amusing and interesting and was Avon by Mrs Clark. During the afternoon the forthcoming garden party, to be held on the first Tuesday in December, was discussed. A proposal to hold a social gift and coin evening was brought forward and it Avas agreed to hold it this month.
Before dispensing, Mrs Ross, in the absence of the president and vice-president, moved a vote of thanks to Mrs Stevensan and her daughters, which Avas heartily earned.
