NON-PAYMENT OF RADIO LICENSE.
Wellington, Yesterday. An unusual point of view was presented by the defendant to a charge of having an unlicensed radio set, Avhen the ease came before Mr Barton, S.M., at Lower Hutt, today. The defendant Avrote a letter, and the Magistrate, after reading it, said that the charge was regarded by the defendant as a summons for the recovery of a debt. Persons Avere required to obtain licenses before their sets were operating. In imposing a fine of £l, Mr. Barton asked for publication of the facts of the case.
