HERRINGTON GOLF CLUB.
MEETING OF LADY MEMBERS.
A meeting of lady members of the Herrington Golf Club was held in the Racing Club office on Tuesday afternoon, presided over by Airs .Tagger (aeting-Clnb Captain). There wore also present: ATesdames Austin, Robbie, Newton, Pcrreau, J. K. Hornblow, F. Wjoods, Misses Wijuklyn, Z. Easton, E. Barber, A. Nevlon, Thompson, Woods, Allen. AlcCormiek, Wright and Airs Moore (lion. see.). . - • Ballots were taken for the election of officers and committee and resulted as follows:—Captain, Airs •Tagger; vice-captain, Airs Austin, handieapper, Afiss Wanklvn; hon. secretary, Airs R. AToore: Airs Robbie was elected in conjunction with the above as a ladies committee.
The acting-captain’s report; also tea reports and results were submitted.
A lengthy discussion took place as to whether the committee should he responsible for afternoon tea arrangements, which duties they declined. No decision was come to and the matter will he referred to the club committee. Mrs Austin donated a trophy for a ladies’ foursome competition. _ Mrs .Tagger and AHss Wanklvn abjb donated trophies for competitions to be decided later. The rule regarding hazards was read and- discussed, and it was agreed to ask the men’s committee to state the penalty and play regarding- these. The competition fee of 2/- was again agreed upon.
